Red Cross responds to Kenya crisis Following the announcement of the results for the Kenya General Election on Sunday, sporadic violence erupted countrywide between various communities resulting in loss of lives, injuries, looting, destruction of property and displacement of thousands of people. Kenya Red Cross immediately went into action to help victims.

The Uganda Red Cross Society The Uganda Red cross society is frequently called upon to carry out response operations for outbreaks of epidemics. In November 2007, they responded to an outbreak of Ebola in the south-western part of the country.

Psychological Support in Somalia Somalia has for the past fifteen years been affected by a protracted and destructive civil conflict. The Somali Red Crescent Society (SRCS) has managed to survive the conflict and is generally credited as being the largest indigenous organisation with representation across the entire country.
