Lessons learned from the psychosocial response to the tsunami

Programme management

The specific context and psychosocial needs and resources in a community will determine what model of psychosocial response is appropriate (see more on psychosocial approaches). 

Despite the contextually determined differences in the psychosocial responses to the tsunami, key lessons were learnt that can be considered for all programme management of psychosocial intervention.  The areas for consideration are
